About Deer Trail Village

History

Deer Trail Village is a master planned community in scenic Clear Creek Canyon at Panguitch Lake, Utah.

Deer Trail Village is part of the original ranch property owned by my father and mother, Fred and Mary Hobson in the late 1950s.

Dreaming of a place to escape the Phoenix, Arizona heat, they built a lodging facility in Utah. Deer Trail Village became home away from home where they invited their friends and family in the summer months.

The cool mountains became a popular spot for our family and others to enjoy the pristine lakes and streams surrounding our property.

Location

About 30 minutes from I-15 and 15 minutes from US89, Deer Trail Village has welcomed guests from almost every state in the nation, but mostly southern California and the southwest US.

The town of Panguitch is about 15 minutes away with additional services.

We are less than 20 minutes from Cedar Breaks Natl. Monument and the Brian Head Ski/Snowboard recreation area with fine lodging & dining options available.

Incomparable Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are easy day trips.

Amenities

World-class national parks and monuments, fishing, hunting,

4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking in the cool mountains of Southern Utah are a major draw for these visitors.

Here at Panguitch Lake, several marinas offer fishing boat rentals as well as summertime horseback rides, several dining options are available around the lake, and even a general store with groceries and a fuel stop within five minutes of Deer Trail Village.

At Deer Trail Village we offer building options, from pad ready cabin sites within the 8.4 acre “Village” to a few traditional premium building lots. Most are streamside to two beautiful mountain creeks that converge on our property and flow to nearby Panguitch Lake. We offer very unique year-round water and septic provided to each site.
